Winemaker Notes: This single vineyard wine was hand picked and crushed direct to open top barrels. Natural fermentation of both sugar and malic acid. The wine was then hand pressed to barrel at 10 brix.
A rush of flavor and swagger from the nose to the palate and its dancing texture. Most associate Petite Sirah with darkness, a one dimensional and opaque feel. But not this 2014 Napa Valley bottle... This lovely little character has a boldness and soft-spoken charm about it that breaks any varietal stereotype. Its tannin structure and acidity make it approachable now and unusually versatile with food. But, if you want to lay it down for a bit and see what new notes surface, the bottle invites you to do so. Expect something different, expect something fun, expect a new experience with this '14 Petite.
